Clifton Park Host District Deputy GER Deb Kruk & SVP Gary Rende
The visit by the District Deputy GER and State Vice President is always a special occasion at the Clifton Park Elks Lodge. On Wednesday, November 9, DD Deb Kruk and SVP Gary Rende visited Lodge # 2446 and observed the initiation of five new members into the Elks. Nicole Crosier, Steven Forbes, Michael Mayo, Robert Muller, and Brandon Roberts were initiated into the BPOE.
Prior to the ceremony, over 75 guests from the other nine lodges in the NYS Mohawk Valley District enjoyed a hot turkey dinner and some fellowship. Mike Bloss, Past State President, presented donations from the Clifton Park Lodge to SVP Gary Rende for Major Projects and District Deputy Deb Kruk for the Elks National Foundation. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary made a donation to Major Projects.
There was a special presentation by Americanism Chairman Tom Venezio. A middle school student from Niskayuna, Prisha Kataria, received a plaque for taking second place in the New York State Division 2 of the 2021-2022 Americanism Essay Contest.
