Kids' Soccer Shoot
Local Area Soccer Shoot 2012
Unfortunately our Lodge did not participate in the Area Soccer Shoot this year. We hope to reinstate the Soccer Shoot for 2013.
Local Area Soccer Shoot 2011
The Area Soccer Shoot will be held Saturday October 15th at the Rotary Soccer Fields starting at 9 am. Anyone interested in participating or helping see Chairman Beau Dersch or give the Lodge a call. Again this year, this is a Local Area Shoot only with winners being awarded trophies from the Lodge but no advancement to further level of competition.
Local Area Soccer Shoot 2010
The Local Soccer Shoot was held Saturday, October 09th at the Rotary Soccer Fields with 31 kids participating. The shoot began at 9:00 am and T-shirts were given to each participant, trophies were given to the top 3 winners in each class. The first place winners in each class received a soccer ball but due to lack of State Sponsorship will not advance any further into the District or State Levels.
The local area winners were; Boys U-14 Donovan Sensel 1st place, Girls U-14 Lindzie Kraig 1st place, Boys U-12 Ethan Hawkins 1st place, Samuel Moulder 2nd place, Boys U-10 Jake Hardy 1st place, Brayden Horst 2nd place, Jared Beasely 3rd place, Girls U-10 Brooke Tuttle 1st place, Kylie Venable 2nd place, Khushbu Patel 3rd place, Boys U-8 Cruz Uribe 1st place, Levi Shook 2nd place, Cooper Loll 3rd place, Girls U-8 Alli Kesler 1st place, Tatiana Lopez 2nd place, Iris Johnson 3rd place. Congratulations you are all Winners and Thank You for participating, you have made this Lodge of Elks proud to be represented by you. We wish you well with your endeavors in future soccer play.
Local Area Soccer Shoot 2009
Unfortunately the Illinois Elks Association has cancelled the State Soccer Shoot program. Our District also followed suite and therefore our Lodge did not participate in the Area Soccer Shoot this year. We hope to reinstate the Soccer Shoot for 2010.
Local Area & District Soccer Shoot 2008
The Area Soccer Shoot was held Monday, August 25th at the Rotary Soccer Fields with 36 kids participating. The shoot began at 6:30 pm and T-shirts were given to each participant, trophies were given to the top 3 winners in each class. The first place winners in each class received a soccer ball and advanced to the District Soccer Shoot in Granite City on September 13th at the new Soccer Complex on Rt. 3.
Area winners were; Boys U-14 Kameron Decker 3rd place at District, Boys U-12 Garrett Blanchard 3rd place at District, Girls U-12 Samantha Cameron 3rd place at District, Boys U-10 Nikolas O'Neal 2nd place at District, Girls U-10 Sydney Geurrin 1st place at District, Boys U-8 Max Lauder 1st place at District, Girls U-8 Alyson Leek 2nd place at District. The First Place winners of the District will move on to the State Soccer Shoot to be held October 17th – 19th in Decatur. Congratulations Winners and Thank You all for participating, you have made this Lodge of Elks proud to be represented by you. We wish you well at State!
State Soccer Shoot 2008
On October 17th - 19th the Elks held their Annual State Soccer Shoot in Decatur. Our local lodge had 2 children qualifying for state finals with these kids placing first, and second, in their respective categories. First Place winner for her division U-10 girls was Sydney Geurin , and Second Place winner for his division U-8 boys was Max Lauder. "CONGRATULATIONS" to each of you, the Elks Lodge here in Centralia is proud to be represented so well in the State finals and hopes you and your family had a great time participating in this event. The South Central District in all, had 4 children place in the top 3 spots for respective age groups, bringing home one First, two Seconds, and one Third. Thank You State Co-Chairman, Paul Schrage and Bob Swisher for hosting another successful Shootout for the kids and their families this year.
