Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes to the Cumulative Recognition Program

On March 31, 2021, we’ll make the biggest change to our cumulative recognition program since 2001—we’re discontinuing the three cumulative recognition levels below $1,000. The change will align our recognition programs with our fundraising priorities and help us better control costs.

Since 2016, during the Hoop Shoot National Finals, National Finalists and their families come together for Hoop Shoot Assists, an evening of service and community. Due to the pandemic, the world calls for a new form of engagement for past, present and future Hoop Shooters—one in which we don’t have to be together to make a difference.

Since the middle of August, wildfires have raged across the West Coast, affecting the lives of people throughout California, Oregon and Washington. Elks Lodges have been stepping up to provide relief.

2021 Legacy Awards Contest

The 2021 Legacy Awards Contest begins on September 1. Legacy Awards are open to the children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elks. The recipients of these $4,000 scholarships are required to serve with an Elks Lodge at least once per year. Read more here.

2021 MVS Contest

The ENF is proud to announce the start of the 2021 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest.
The application is completed online and must be submitted by the November 15, 2020, deadline. The 500 national winners will be announced in April 2021, after the top 20 finalists participate in the Leadership Weekend and interview for the top awards. Read more here.

ENF Per-Member-Giving Goal

The Grand Exalted Ruler, Paul Ryan announced the new per-member-giving goal for 2020-21. Elks’ support makes the work of the ENF possible, and every donation helps. To encourage support, the National President announces a per-member-giving goal ever year. This year, the goal is $4.80. Learn more here.

The Elks National Foundation is proud to present ENFtoYou: Summer Series, a virtual experience for Elks to learn more about the ENF and its programs. Since the Elks National Convention was canceled, we’re bringing the ENF to you—wherever you are. The ENF will kick off the Summer Series on Sunday, June 28, at 5 p.m. CST with a virtual version of the show it would have presented at Opening Ceremonies in Baltimore. Donation Deadline: March 31

We understand that the U.S. and the world are navigating uncharted territory with the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation deadline is tied to our fiscal year-end, which is March 31. That date is not flexible. We encourage Lodges and individuals to mail checks immediately. As always, we are accepting online donations and donations over the phone.

Building stronger communities in 2021

In February, the Elks National Foundation Board of Trustees approved a massive $39.1 million budget for the ENF’s 2020-21 Fiscal Year. That $39.1 million—dedicated to building stronger communities—includes updates to every program the ENF supports.
