Dunkirk Elks 1776 Newsletter - JULY and AUGUST 2022 - SCROLL DOWN

June 14th was flag day; it was really hot and so we had a short ceremony with our dinner guests.  With the assistance of Joe Sommers, we read the meaning of the Pledge by Red Skelton and did the Pledge of Allegiance.  It was short but nice and never forgotten.

“Meeting the Challenge” our motto and message from Grand Exalted Ruler, T. Keith Mills.  I had the pleasure of meeting him and his lovely wife at the State Meeting in June 5th, 2022.  Thank you for sending me, it was refreshing, and I got updated on changes of our order.

Once again, I am happy to tell you our Gratitude Grant was excepted, and we will receive $2,000 for Community sharing.  I will let you know when we will be passing out checks.  Whoop!  Whoop!

Elks National Foundation is still a great thing to be a part of, because of the donations made by our membership we were able to receive the above donation.  Go to ENF website and get more information about donating.
