Out with the Old, in with the New Year
The 2025-25 fiscal year is coming to a close. Donations must be in our office by March 31 to count toward your Lodge’s per-member-giving goal, Gratitude Grant qualification, and personal recognition milestones for this fiscal year.

It's easy for you to check your Lodge's progress online! Click to view your Lodge's per-member giving, Gratitude Grant eligibility, and personal giving history.

Due to our lean staff and the influx of donations received at the end of the year, we are unable to answer questions about whether a check has been received, Chair Challenge scores over 550, and donation status updates more recent than what is reflected in the online reports.

Any donations received on or after April 1 will count toward the 2026-27 fiscal year. To ensure your donation makes it to our office on time, consider giving online at enf.elks.org/donate.

New Year, New Database

To enhance the donor and volunteer experience, the ENF is migrating to a new constituent relationship management system, leaving the platform we’ve used for the past 24 years. The new system will cut back on donation processing time, improve our processes for recognizing and acknowledging donors, and expand the ways we support our volunteers.

You'll read in the February issue of The Elks Magazine that we are migrating to a new constituent relationship management platform and that the migration will delay the close of our fiscal year by a month. That was true as of press time, but we're pleased to share that we were able to adjust the schedule so that we can close the year on time and instead migrate in mid-May.

We appreciate your support and patience during this transition, and we are excited to share the new possibilities with you.

Year End and Migration FAQ

All donations received in our office on or before March 31, 2026, will count toward the 2025-26 fiscal year. This means that all donations received on or before March 31, 2026, will count toward personal recognition milestones, Lodge per-member-giving, and Gratitude Grant eligibility and bonuses. Donations must be in our office to count, so consider giving online to avoid the post office delay!

A constituent relationship management (CRM) system is software that helps organizations manage and analyze donor and volunteer interactions, data, and relationships. A CRM serves as a central hub to store contact information, record donations, track communications, manage relationships, and automate routine tasks, ultimately aiming to improve the donor and volunteer experience.

The ENF’s current constituent relationship management (CRM) system, the Raiser’s Edge, is nearing the end of its lifespan. Its eventual retirement posed a significant risk to our fundraising capabilities, so we began working with a consultant last fall to plan for a solution that ideally would meet our needs for the next 25 years. After a thorough assessment, the consultant recommended that we migrate to Salesforce’s Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) solution.

We are confident that NPC will enhance the donor and volunteer experience.

Yes! The ENF takes donor security very seriously, as detailed in the ENF Donor Bill of Rights. The complete giving history of active donors will be safely and securely moved from one database to the other, allowing us to continue recognizing you for all your generous support.

Nothing! We initially thought the migration would delay the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year, but the migration is now set to take place in May, which means we can close the fiscal year as planned.

Not much! You can expect the exact same transparency, security, and reliability that we pride ourselves on in the Donor Bill of Rights! However, there will be some minor delays in online report updating at the start of the new fiscal year as our team adjusts to the new system. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We started using a new service for our online donations at the end of October. Perhaps you noticed that the online forms got a facelift? We’ll be using this new service with our new constituent relationship management (CRM) system, Salesforce, too.

We’ll be dealing with a learning curve as we transition to Salesforce. It will take time to get gift processing and reporting back up to speed, but we’ll get there! In the meantime, we appreciate your patience during this change.

This migration will ultimately improve gift processing and other administrative tasks, allowing us to spend more time helping you build stronger communities! Our programs will be unaffected by this change.

No. Your complete giving history will be safely and securely moved to the new constituent relationship management (CRM) system, allowing us to continue recognizing you for all your generous support.

No. Fidelity Club gifts will continue uninterrupted. You may have already noticed some changes to the gift service center, where you can update your Fidelity Club gift information. This is part of how we are improving the donor experience and making it easier for our team to process your gifts. But, if you have questions about your gift, our team is happy to answer them at 773/755-4764 or at pledges@elks.org. Please note: do not send your credit information over email.

Yes! All gifts given to the Foundation will still go to your personal giving history and contribute toward personal recognition milestones.
