Spreading Antlers programs

The Community Investment Program of Green Bay Elks Lodge 259 is known as the "Spreading Antlers" program. It is the benevolent work of the lodge in the community.  It aims is to help, develop and strengthen our fellow neighbors, community and area.

The program began in earnest in 2011-2012 when the lodge applied for and received a $2,000.00 Gratitude grant to put a Holiday program on for a local domestic shelter. Over the years through Beacon grants, Gratitude grants, Promise grants, and Freedom grants, the lodge has been able to provide programs such as Book Bags with school supplies for area schools, Softball clinic for underprivileged girls in the area, holiday baskets for local shelters, a domestic pantry for several area shelters, uniforms and equipment for area girls softball league, safe Halloween party for area youths, Christmas with an Elk for youths at two area shelters, gas cards for Disabled Veterans of America and several other programs for Veterans.

In 2017-2018 the lodge will receive  $10,500.00 in grant money form the Elks National Foundation Community Investment program.  These grants in addition to support from the Wisconsin Elks Association, and lodge members, we will be able to continue funding of our pantry for local domestic shelters, purchase needed uniform and equipment for upcoming softball season, clothing for homeless Veterans, bus passes and gas cards for Veterans, put on a safe Halloween party and Christmas for several domestic shelters,  In addition to  our  Hoop Shoot, Drug Awareness programing, Scholarships, Americanism programs,  as well as other programs in the community.  Truly showing that "Elks are leading the way" in Northeast Wisconsin

Over the last 6 years Green Bay Elks Spreading Antler program will have invested over $70,000.00 into Northeast Wisconsin. Like the animal that our Order is name after, which sheds it antlers each March or April to grow new and stronger this lodge has plans already in the works to have even a bigger year in 2018-2019.
