Special Citations
The Burbank Lodge Elks Training 31% Member participation for 2007-2008 was something to be proud of - it was the important factor. It is a grand achievement. This California-Hawaii Elks Association Special Citation for 1st in the State-Division 3 (501-700 members) will be enhancing our lodge wall. It shows what we can accomplish.
Burbank Elks received First Place honors for Division 3, All American Lodge Contest at the California-Hawaii Elks convention in San Diego. Points are earned by competing lodges, based upon the degree of their participation in 44 categories of endeavor, ranging from the sponsoring of a new lodge through posting a gain in membership. The contest also includes participation in Grand Lodge contests and programs, such as Americanism, Veterans Service, Elks National Foundation, Public Relations, Youth Activities, etc. State winners go on to compete in the Grand Lodge Contest, the most coveted of all Grand Lodge Awards.
