Position: Customer Service Assistant (Temporary/Part-time)

Position Description

The Elks National Foundation seeks a part-time Customer Service Assistant to serve as a helpline for our scholarship program. If you like to help people, are interested in a temporary part-time position (up to 29 hours a week) from October 2020 through January 2021, and have availability between the hours of 8:30 am and 5 pm CST, Monday - Saturday, this may be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities include answering general questions, providing technical support to volunteers and scholarship applicants via phone and email, creating and managing support resources and other duties as assigned. This position will also require work on select weekends.

Qualified candidates will have an interest in the nonprofit sector, excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and strong organizational skills. Familiarity with databases a plus. Patience, attention to detail and reliability are a must. 

The Elks National Foundation is located at 2750 N. Lakeview Avenue, in the beautiful Elks Memorial Building at the corner of Diversey and Lakeview, in Lincoln Park. This opportunity also has a remote option.

Compensation: $15 per hour
