Position Description

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the USA has an immediate opening for a capable and highly motivated SQL Developer at our headquarters location in the heart of Lincoln Park.   

We are looking for a SQL developer to develop MS-SQL queries and procedures, provide data for custom reports, and provide support to our web developers to enhance organizational productivity. You will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability and performance.

SQL Developer duties and responsibilities

  • Development of high-quality database solutions 

  • Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL

  • Provide support to web and report writers

  • Document all queries and processes

  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements

  • Research required data

  • Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables

  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements

  • Suggest new queries

  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration

SQL Developer requirements and qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a SQL Developer

  • Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 

  • Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript 

  • Knowledge of ColdFusion a plus
