The Yosemite National Park will reopen after a 14 day closer due to the Ferguson Fire. The fire did enter the park at the extreme higher elevations but did not affect the public areas.

- OAKHURST — Everyone is welcome to the Elks Lodge for their Veterans’ Annual Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser.
The event features dinner, music and dancing, and veterans’ plates are compliments of the house.

Oakhurst Elks remain engaged with the local community via a relationship with the Chamber of Commerce.

Chairperson for the event, Charlene Klinger, said it was one of the largest parties the lodge has held over the past 20-plus years.
