Janigian Vietnam Memorial Rededication
Oregon's oldest memorial to Vietnam War veterans, originally dedicated June 9, 1968, at the "old" Beaverton Elks Lodge, was rededicated on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Beaverton Veterans Memorial Park. The memorial was originally donated by Life Member Buck Janigian in honor of his son, Marine Cpl. Richard A. Janigian, who was killed in action in 1967, while serving in the Vietnam War. Buck's son (and Richard's brother) Don Janigian, also a Beaverton Elks Member, placed a wreath at the Memorial during its rededication.
