A Big Sierra Vista

What are Elks?

Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the U.S.A.
A Fraternal Organization

To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share.

Sierra Vista Elks Lodge #2065 in and around our Community

The Sierra Vista Elks Lodge # 2065 was instituted on 27 February 1958 and since our humbled beginnings we have been very active in our community, and county. We have a robust membership, and committees that serve our community Veterans, our local food pantries for children and adults in needs, we love our first responders, we award scholarships, participate in Project Graduation for two of our local high schools, help the Boy Scouts (and they help us), drug awareness, Hoop Shoot,  and we host an annual Flag Day Ceremony in June, Oktoberfest in September and Haunted House in October.

"Yes my Brothers and Sisters, the great heart of Elkdom truly swells and throbs with in the hallowed walls of Sierra Vista Lodge No. 2065. To our founding members, we say "thank you" for a job well done. We will never forget your efforts and we will strive to continue to build on those efforts. Perhaps P.E.R. David Dean said it best with his slogan "Honor the past, embrace the future". Homer Sylvers, Past State President and Lodge Historian
