Jerry Skidds, PER, PDD, Exalted Ruler
2021-2022

First, I would like to congratulate and welcome the newest members of Rochester Lodge 1393 who were initiated on Sunday 10/24/2021. I hope you will find something in the lodge that interests you and get involved. Our lodge cannot continue to be successful and prosper without volunteers helping with the various committees, activities and most importantly officers of the lodge. If you have any interest in any of these areas, please contact me or any lodge officer for additional information. I would like to thank all our lodge officers for their support during our recent District Deputy visitation and lodge inspection. As always, our lodge has outstanding lodge officers who continue to give 100% to the duties of their office and this is the reason that Rochester Lodge 1393 continues to be considered one of the top lodges in the state.

We are entering the holiday season with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year just around the corner. Please watch your Lodge newsletters, Lodge Facebook page and Lodge website for additional information on upcoming events. Winter is approaching fast and as we steadily move to more indoor activities it is important that all our members continue to practice good COVID protocols. If you are feeling sick, please get tested and don’t come to the lodge until you are feeling better.

Please be considerate of all our members and their families.

Exalted Ruler, Gerald Skidds

Friday Night Suppers are back!

Friday Night Suppers are the same format as before and will be served in the lounge & dart room. We will be running two Friday Night Suppers per month except for November and December and as the schedule allows. Two choices of an entrée will be posted in the lounge for one week prior to the Friday Night Supper. Entrées include a salad, potato, rolls/butter, and dessert. Orders for a meal may be given to a bartender or called in (332-9700 ext. 3) by NO LATER THAN Wednesday before the supper. Suppers are served between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM Friday evenings. Please turn in your meal ticket to the server no later than 6:45 PM. Pay the bartender when you order or pay when you arrive on Friday night. Note: Members and Guests only!

As always, we need volunteers to help with serving and assistance in the kitchen. It is important for the existence of this event. Please contact Jerry Skidds @ 603-609-5500 if you are interested in volunteering. Last year’s Suppers were successful, and tips collected went to the purchase of a new security camera system and paint for Lodge improvements.

Please support us by dining with us when you can.
NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A PARTY OF MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE,
PLEASE NOTIFY THE BARTENDER WHEN ORDERING YOUR TICKETS

COVID-19 POLICY UPDATE

The Rochester Elks is now open at full capacity. The Home Committee has not updated the mask policy which remains as “RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED”. Members who still wish to wear a mask are encouraged to do so but they are no longer required to be worn while in the building or moving throughout the building. This includes members/visitors playing pool, darts, cribbage or cornhole. The Home Committee will address further policy changes in upcoming meetings. We have discontinued the COVID tracing sign-in sheets. The lodge management team will continue to monitor the health and safety of our lodge and members and will amend any current policies in place to address any issues if they should occur.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Exalted Ruler & Home Committee
