Welcome to our Lodge Webpage!

Jerry Skidds, PER, PDD, Exalted Ruler
2021-2022

Members, June saw the weather heating up as well as the events at the lodge.

I would like to congratulate and welcome the newest members of Rochester Lodge 1393 who were initiated on June 13th, please visit the lodge, and get involved in an activity or committee you may be interested in.

I would also like to extend my appreciation to the suite of officers who performed a great rendition of the Initiatory Ritual. The Rochester lodge has a long history of performing this ceremony completely from memory and is one of only a few lodges in the state that continue to do this.

The lodge also, with the continued help of volunteers, held the annual Flag Day ceremony and Father’s Day breakfast, along with Dancing thru the Decades and Backyard BBQ events in June.

July, August, and September look to be continually active as well so please support the lodge and attend any event you can.I would also like to thank the Home Improvement committee for their work in purchasing and replacing all our bar stools and some chairs. This is a continuation of the updating of our lounge and while the new wooden seat bar stools may not be as soft as the old stools, they are certainly safer and are without rips and tears. As we approach the 4th of July holiday, I hope all our members and your families have a safe and happy holiday.

Thank you for you continued support of our lodge.

Exalted Ruler, Gerald Skidds

COVID-19 POLICY UPDATE
The Rochester Elks is now open at full capacity. The Home Committee has not updated the mask policy which remains as “RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED”. Members who still wish to wear a mask are encouraged to do so but they are no longer required to be worn while in the building or moving throughout the building. This includes members/visitors playing pool, darts, cribbage or cornhole.

The Home Committee will address further policy changes in the upcoming meeting in July.
We will be discontinuing the required COVID tracing sign-in sheets. The lodge management team will continue to monitor the health and safety of our lodge and members and will amend any current policies in place to address any issues if they should occur.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Exalted Ruler & Home Committee
