Elroy attended the Annual Picnic and Goat Drop yesterday at the Orangeburg Elks Lodge. It poured down rain so, the goats didn't go outside to poop. They had to put the tickets in the feed bucket and pulled out the winners. Elroy had a great time. Thank you, Orangeburg Elks, for the invite.

I have been trying to figure out how I could thank the people responsible for making our Annual Valentine Dinner and Dance for our Special Gatherings Group so spectacular. From the members that decorated and made gifts behind the scenes, to the members that gave their time on Valentine’s day to serve our guest. To DJ Joe Pendarvis and his lovely wife Betty for playing the music. To Charles and Faye Rister with Thrivent. To all the individuals that made private donations I can’t thank all of you enough. Our Biggest Surprise of the night was JJ and Ashley Lamb of Shorty’s Smokin Butt’s and Tommy Osteen of Colleton County Board of Disabilities for donating dinner to our event. I do not know how we can show our appreciation for everything everyone has contributed to make such a wonderful event possible. Special Gatherings made memories that they will not forget. We crowned a King & Queen, gave away door prizes, t-shirts and candy and danced the night away. Thank all of you for making this night so special for them. I am proud to be a part of the Walterboro Elks # 1988 and everything we do for our community.
