On May 2, Lusk Elks Lodge No. 1797 honored the Citizen of the Year. This year, the recipient of that award was Patti Sigvartsen. Patti is well deserving of the honor.
Her work with the Santa's Helpers is well known and she is a fixture in the Tiger Pride Booster Club.
Patti has been a big influence on many local youth, having played a leading part in the annual post-prom party which is sponsored by the Tiger Pride Booster Club. This alcohol freeparty provides a safe alternative for the young people on their big night.
Patti works for the Department of Family Services and as such sees first hand the needs of local children. She has been very helpful to the Elks Major Project - Needy Youth Committee.
