MARION, OH – (August 28, 2003) Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 will be hosting a Popcorn Festival beer garden, located in the fraternal organization’s parking lot at 130 S. State Street. Hours are slated to be from 6 PM to Midnight on Thursday, September 4th, and Noon to Midnight on Friday and Saturday, September 5th and 6th.
Live music will be provided by the band “Tyrant” from 7:30 to midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. Music is also planned for Thursday evening. The Elks Lodge will also provide food, with a menu that includes shredded chicken and pork sandwiches. Beer will be priced at $2.75 per glass.
“Our beer garden is located about a block from the Festival grounds,” said Brad Smith, Exalted Ruler of the local Elks Lodge, “and we hope that it provides a relaxed atmosphere for Festival attendees. Only adults 21 years of age and older will be admitted.”
“It has been over a decade since the Elks have had a beer garden. We see this as an opportunity to raise additional funds for our philanthropic pursuits, and to extend Elks hospitality as a way to many new friends. For a change of pace, we invite folks to attend the newest beer garden at the Festival” Smith said
