MARION ELKS RECEIVE NEW INSTANT BINGO LICENSE

Marion Elks Lodge No. 32 has applied for and received their new Type III Charitable Bingo License, allowing the local fraternal organization to conduct charitable instant bingo games such as “pull tabs” to raise money for the Lodge and several local charities. Based on the Ohio State House Bill 512 signed into law by Governor Taft and amended by the state budget legislation, the Marion Elks are authorized to sell instant bingo tickets to members and guests. 50% of all proceeds are to go to charities as specified by the Marion Elks.

For the remainder of 2003, the Marion Elks have chosen the following charitable organizations to be the benefactors of their instant bingo proceeds. Charities include the Marion General Hospital Quality of Life Hospice, Marion City Police ASAP Drug Rehab Program, Marion City Fire Department EMS Program, Ohio Elks Cerebral Palsy Charities, Elks national Foundation Scholarship Programs and the Marion Community Foundation.
