2024 Elks Annual Hoop Shoot Contest - UPDATED
On Saturday, January 6th, at Worcester Prep in Berlin, MD, the OC Elks #2645 held our annual Hoop Shoot Contest. About 80 students participated and shot baskets for the Hoop Shoot Contest. We awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies, with 1st place winners advancing on to Districts.
Congratulations to all of the winners!
A special "thank you" to our organizer, John Belzner, and all of the volunteers who help the Elks build stronger communities through programs such as this that support youth in the Ocean City area.
Well done!
UPDATE April 2024: Congratulations to Mickayla See, a 13 year old student at Stephen Decatur Middle School, who finished in first place in our Lodge sponsored Hoop Shoot competition which was held in January. As the first place winner, Mickayla qualified to compete in the Regional Competition in Charlottesville, VA, and she went on to finish in 3rd place. Kudos to her and to all the volunteers who helped out at the Shoot.
