Lodge Hosts Hoop Shoot Competition
We had a total of 14 participants at our Hoop Shoot at the Gifford Youth Achievement Center on January 4th. There were 5 girls, 9 boys in total. Eleven kids participated in the 8-9 age group. There were 3 in the 10-11 age groups.
Highest scores: Girls was 20/25 shots; Boys was 15/25 shots. The girl went on to the District competition and placed second with a score of 17/25 shots and the winner of district 8-9 age group won by only 2 shot difference.
The organizer of the Hoop Shoot was Chris Ferrari, the image below shows her speaking to the contestants before the competition.
Other Elks who assisted were: Lou Ferrari, Jane and Dan Ferguson, Anna D’Antonio, Barbara Riley, Scott Hensel and Jim Rannazzisi.
