It gives me great pleasure to announce Dan De Paolo as our December Elk of the Month. Dan has been a member of our lodge for almost 24 years. During his time here Dan has gone through the officer chairs including Exalted Ruler and is currently our 5th year Trustee. Dan has also served as lodge chaplain and is serving on the Home Corporation. Dan also serves as president on the PER association committee. The two biggest reasons for selecting Dan for this are for his work on the recent Italian night which brought over 350 people to our lodge, and I hear plans are in place for a repeat show in 2024. The second reason is for Dan’s willingness to fill in for lodge officers unable to attend lodge meetings and initiations. Many times, Dan was asked a few minutes before the meeting to “fill in”, and without hesitation, stepped up, quickly read his parts, and performed as if this was his assigned position.
