Greetings My Fellow Elks: I, along with 6 other members, attended the State Convention that was held at the Marina Inn located in Myrtle Beach. I want to congratulate Tim Anderson on becoming the new State President for the year 2022-2023. The Walterboro Lodge was tasked to run the Hospitality Room for the convention. We did an outstanding job. I want to thank Tim and Valeria Mabry, Tim and Barbara Anderson, Mary Jo Fox, Donna Miller, Beth Carpenter for making the Chili, and the other Lodges for helping. I want to congratulate the new officers for the upcoming year. I know that the Lodge will be in good hands next year. I ask that you support them and give them the love that you have shown me. I see that the dues notices for 2022-2023 have gone out in the mail. We went under a new billing system that should save the Lodge a lot of money. I ask that you send your payments in so that we can start off the year in great shape.
Remember the membership dues are what the Lodge operates on. Currently we have 366 members in the Lodge. We have 33 members that haven’t paid their dues. We have initiated 54 new members this physical year. I don’t want you to stop talking to friends. Invite them out and ask them to join a great organization.
The House Committee has a lot of events coming up. We have had great turnouts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. I want to thank everyone for working and coming out those nights. Again, thank you for supporting your lodge. We have a lot of members doing great things around the lodge.
