The late, great Elk Patrick Mahoney started this event in 2016 - his love of shooting resulted in our Lodge raising tens of thousands of dollars for the State Elks Association Wounded Veterans Project (WVP) over the last nine years and this year will undoubtedly add substantially to that total. The WVP pays for transporting veterans around the state for recreation and pays for the training of service dogs at a cost of about $10,000 each.
It is a FUN shoot - it doesn’t matter how good you are! There are plenty of experienced shooters there to help, and you will have a good time. Come on out and join the fun or sponsor a vet so they can shoot!
