From the ENF Chairperson

Thank you to all who have contributed to the Elks National Foundation for the 2010-2011 Lodge year.

Year-end reports have now been posted by the ENF Headquarters, and I'd like to share some of the numbers with you.

Our Lodge of 203 members (for the 2010-2011 year) had 73 members contributing 137 times - many of you contributed three or four times at various events. We ended up contributing slightly over $30 a member - this makes us 2nd in the State of Indiana; lst in the NE District; 24th in the country for Lodges of 300 or less; 32nd in the country for all Lodges. I THINK THESE ARE PHENOMENAL STATISTICS, and I am so proud of all of you who helped us achieve these results.

During the year, we applied for and received a Promise Grant of $1,000 to help the Boys and Girls Club with their after-school tutoring - many of our members also donated time to help with this project. In fact, to receive a Promise Grant, Lodges have to commit to spending time helping youth in some way. We also received a Gratitude Grant for Bellmont High School to help with their Transitional Skills program. That grant, too, was for $1,000. Now, for the coming Lodge year, both these grants have been raised to a possible maximum of $2,000 so we will be able to do even more in the community this year!

ENF wants to impact our community - this is possible because of the generosity of members like you who contribute each year. Please help again this year - just drop off a check at the Lodge or watch for special ENF events at the Lodge.

Check the article "Give to ENF" for more info on different ways you can contribute. And, again, thank you so much. You have helped our Lodge make a difference in our community.
