Greetings from Prescott Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, are located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. Check out our elks.org page. We have a very content rich elks.org site. Featured pages are [Facilites], [Officers], [Elks'n the News], [Extra Pages](includes rich history of our lodge) and especially our [Photo Gallery]. If you have time after looking it over please sign our [Guest Book]. Thank you

Sorry to hear Beaver Dam has lost one of it's sons. I saw the Righteous Brothers in Vegas about a year ago and it was great evening.

DETROIT (AP) - Bobby Hatfield, whose soaring tenor blended with partner Bill Medley's silken baritone to create the "blue-eyed soul" of the Righteous Brothers, has died in a Kalamazoo hotel, his manager said. He was 63.

Hatfield's body was discovered in his bed Wednesday evening, 30 minutes before the duo was to perform at Miller Auditorium on the Western Michigan University campus, manager David Cohen said.

The duo, whose 42-year career featured pop standbys like "Unchained Melody,""(You're My) Soul and Inspiration" and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," were in Kalamazoo to kick off a four-day series of performances in Michigan and Ohio.

"It's a shock, a real shock," Cohen said during a telephone interview. Medley, he said, was "broken up. He's not even coherent."

The cause of death was unknown. Hatfield's body was taken to Lansing, where an autopsy was to be performed, Joe Hakim, an executive with the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, told the Kalamazoo Gazette.

The duo's signature 1965 single, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," has been cited by numerous sources as the most-programmed song in American radio history. The inclusion of their songs in films such as "Top Gun,""Ghost" and "Dirty Dancing" repeatedly re-established the Righteous brand.

Earlier this year, singer Billy Joel inducted Hatfield and Medley into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Robert Lee Hatfield was born Aug. 10, 1940, in Beaver Dam, Wis. His family moved to Anaheim, Calif., when he was 4. Hatfield organized singing and instrumental groups in high school while helping his parents with their dry cleaning business.

Carol Tracy (happy1sparrow@hotmail.com)

Happy New Year to you as well. My Dad was career Navy retiring in 61 out of NAS Alameda, California.

I am greatly distressed by the ocndition of a United States flag that is displayed here in Madison at the Romnes complex (a federally funded project.) They do have a US flag and State of Wisconsin flag flying in the front. This is displayed most inappropriately by the recylcing bins. It is in such bad shape It is a disgrace. I have informed people but they have not done anything about it. It is almost as if someone were trying to disgrace the United States. It is bleached out to where it is no longer red, white and blue. It is very badly tattered, etc. Please help Carol Tracy 608-712-7043 cell 608-442-1589 home but may be on internet
