  • Covid - Reopening 9/5/2020

    We’ve had a year of uncharted decisional changes because of continual demands by the federal and local government agencies. Our lodge will reopen for limited use beginning Wednesday, September 9th, 2020. We ask that all members follow the guidelines in keeping with CDC, State and Grand Lodge regulations.   • Benefit to honor fallen firefighters

    Following the death of York Firefighters Ivan Flanscha and Zachary Anthony, York Elks PER (Past Exalted Ruler) Ron Lewis had an idea to have an annual event to raise funds for York County Firefighters. His dream is becoming a reality. A concert will be held Sunday, November 18th @ 7 pm in the Capitol Theatre at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts featuring Country Artists SCOTT McCREERY, CARLY PEARCE and KAYLA KROH. (See attached picture). The Elks Lodge #213 - York, PA along with York Professional Fire Fighters & Froggy 107.7 will present ‘FROGGY FOR FIREFIGHTERS” a concert to benefit the “Fuel their Fire Scholarship” in honor of the 35 York County Firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty over the past 100 years. Yearly two scholarships will be awarded. “The Ivan Flanscha & Zachary Anthony Scholarship” will be awarded to any York County resident furthering their education in Fire Services, Emergency Services, Nursing or Conservation. “The York County Fallen Firefighter Scholarship” will be awarded to any career or volunteer York County Firefighter or immediate family member furthering their education beyond High School.   • Local Veterans receive Christmas gifts

    37 Veterans at a local nursing home received Christmas gifts from their wish list again this year. For the past several years a wooden soldier tree is set up with the names and wishes of veterans. Members select a veteran and provide gifts for them based on their needs. It brought many smiles when the gifts were delivered. (see attached picture)

  • Helping children at a local school

    For the past 5 years the York Elks has provided Christmas Bundles for children attending Tiding of Peace School in York PA. Most are below poverty level. Members donate towels, wash clothes, and personal care items for the children. (see attached picture) Pictured are PER Mary Ellen Dalheimer, Marilyn Hake and Linda Baugher.

  • Elks Donate Lodge for York Boys Club Banquet

    As part of our community service, the York Elks Lodge has partnered with York Boys Club. A grant provided them with equipment and other necessities earlier in the year. In December we opened our lodge for their banquet.

  • Elks in Espadrilles - YWCA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

    The 'Elks in Espadrilles' Team participated in the YWCA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event on October 5th. The total dollars collected was $830 for this very worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone that donated in our Teams name. The members that bravely walked the mile were, Todd Gettys, Bob Decker, Mike Connor, Doug Stauffer, Dave Small, Steve DeHoff and Daryl Hoffman, Captain. This was a fun event and we are looking forward to next year and breaking the $1000 mark in donations. See attached picture.

  • York Slumbering Groundhog Lodge announces 90th Annual Event

    On Friday, February 2, 2018, at sunrise,7:15 A.M, the ninety year old, York Slumbering Groundhog Lodge, will meet to conduct the traditional ceremonies at the Elks Lodge # 213, located at 223 North George Street (rear) in York, Pennsylvania. Any dues paying member of any Elks Lodge, may request to join this wonderful Groundhog lodge. Dues are $5.00 per year and all proceeds go to local charities.

  • ALL VETS TO DC Trip 2017!

    Buses will take Veterans and their guest to visit Arlington Cemetery on November 8, 2017. The York Elks Lodge is sponsoring a Veterans bus and the Gold Star Family bus. They will be welcomed upon their return home by groups of people waving flags, music and the local JROTC showing them that we still care. Join us as we welcome them home!
