Artesia Lodge #1717 had a tremendous turn out for this years Toys for Tots. Lots of children that might not have gotten anything for Christmas were able to enjoy the holiday.

This year our Exalted Ruler Billy Hope decided he wanted a fall event to match our Spring Rib & Chili Cook off so we put on the First Annual Fall Pie Bake off.
Artesia Lodge #1717 was proud to host a good friend and our South East District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Terri Rhue for our annual visit. Dinner was great and the message she had was very inspirational.

Artesia Lodge #1717 built a water station in this years Artesia Wet & Wild Run. Our station won 1st place!!! The station was called "Boot Camp" all participants had to dive into the 8 foot wide 40 foot long tub of very soapy water and military crawl to the exit. We had lots of people of all ages go through our station and had lots of fun.

Artesia Lodge #1717 just had our newly rename Rib & Chile cook off. It is now known as the "Hoppy Pearce Memorial Rib & Chile Cook Off" in honor of one of our great members that pasted a little over a year ago.
This was our first steak night in a few months, it was also the first one run with the new slate of officers. Everyone pulled together and the night turned out great.
Its only been a couple of months, but our poor Exalted Ruler Bill Hope is feeling the pressure. He has resorted to using old man reading glasses.......
