Lodge Facilities

Inverness Elks Hall

Our large non-smoking hall is used for both Lodge meetings and social functions.  Its windows look out onto beautiful Lake Hernando.  Our members get a lot of enjoyment from events held in the hall -- we have monthly dining and dancing, and many social events throughout the year.

This beautiful hall is available for rent by Elks in good standing for events such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, celebration of life.

For rental information contact the Lodge at 352-726-2027 or email: elks2522@tampabay.rr.com.

Lake Hernando

We are privileged to have hundreds of feet of shoreline on Lake Hernando. We are located alongside a double boat ramp capable of handling most boats.  Beyond the ramp is a fire/ambulance station and a Citrus County park, which consists of a large area with picnic tables under shelter, grilles and open picnic tables, and a sandy beach for swimming (no lifeguard). Lake Hernando is on the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes, excellent for bass fishing.

Scenic View of the Lake

Our lodge can be enjoyed and is used throughout the year for special events.  You do not want to miss the annual Dragon Boat Festival on the First Saturday of November.  There are Florida and out-of-state Dragon Boat Clubs that compete, and regional amateur crews in either 10-person or 20-person boats racing directly in front of our Lodge.  At that time, our facilities are visited by many who come to the festival (over a thousand people).  We get a special permit to serve the public food and beverages throughout that day at our Lodge.  It is the biggest membership drive every year, too!  The festival is the chief fundraising event for the Citrus County Education Foundation and the awards are presented to winners on our grounds.

Fire Pit

During the fall, winter and spring (weather permitting), we schedule a monthly social around our impressive fire pit and patio on our lakefront.  It is usually on the last Saturday of the month when we gather to share stories and enjoy food and drink.  Sometimes someone even brings along a guitar.  For the holidays in December, we fire up the pit for the air boat parade that passes by our lakefront.

Monday Bingo from 1 to 3 p.m.

RV Overnight Spots

The Lodge has two RV spaces that are available to Elks in good standing from any Lodge in the country.  The sites have water hookups, but no sewer connections, nor a dump station.  One site has a 20-amp connection, the other has 30 / 50-amp connection (suggested donation of $20 per night is appreciated).  We also have space for "dry camping."

Reservations MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE by email to:  elks2522@tampabay.rr.com OR by calling the Lodge at 352-726-2027 DURING LOUNGE HOURS, please.
