Welcome to Liberty Lodge, home of the New York State Elks Association Endorsed Presidential Candidate for 2024-2025- our own Tania DeFrank, PDDGER. 

Tania was initiated into Liberty Lodge 1545 on December 14, 2005, installed as Esquire the following March and announced as Officer of the Year for that same year.  Following each chair through to the position of Exalted Ruler 2010-2011, she also served as Lodge Treasurer from 2011-2017 and has been Lodge Secretary since 2017. 

Tania has chaired and or participated in every committee in the lodge in her years as an Elk, and is currently the ENF Chair, Major Projects Chair, Activities Chair, Elks training Chair, Community Holiday Events Co-Chair and is a member on the Membership committee. Serving also in the capacity of Grants Coordinator she has secured $74,000 in ENF grants for our lodge since 2013 and has initiated and chaired community wide events since, helping local children and families.

At the district level, she has been on the Staff of five District Deputies, has been the Major Projects District Chair 2016-19, and was awarded the NYSEA Outstanding Support of NYS Elks Major Projects 2018-19.  She has been the Lodge and Community Activities Chair and Charitable record chair for District #6160 since 2019.    

At the State Level, Tania has been the State Lodge Activities Chair since 2019 and on the Grand Lodge level, she has been appointed as the NYSEA Financial Reporting System Coordinator since 2019 working with lodges throughout the state facilitating their transition to FRS online. 

Tania was elected as State Vice President for the year 2014-15 year and installed as District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler 2016-17 in Houston TX.  She has attended Grand Lodge Conventions in 2009, 2010, 2016, 2021, 2022 and 2023

Born and raised in England, she came to the United States at age 18 in 1986 to work at an ARC camp in Liberty NY. She emigrated in May 1988, a day before her 20th birthday.  The very day she became a US citizen in 2005, she signed her Elks membership application form.

Tania and her husband Marren (also a PER) live and work in Liberty and have a blended family of 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
Tania is a fountain of energy and a shining example to many.
She has chosen Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, a Service Program providing individualized services to adults and children with disabilities and their families in their home communities as her charitable cause. Marren has selected Safe Homes of Sullivan and Orange County as his charity endeavor. Safe Homes offers a wide array of 24/7 emergency and ongoing services to victims of domestic violence and their families.

Family Night Dinners open to the neighboring community are held on the first Wednesday of each month except December and January

Friday dinners are detailed on our Lodge Calendar and are served 5-7


Our meetings are on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7PM.
