Since 1892, Elks Lodge #238 has proudly served the Denison and Lake Texoma communities through friendship, fellowship, and a shared commitment to helping others. Whether you’re a long-time member, visiting from another lodge, or interested in joining, you’ll always find a warm welcome here.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) was founded in 1868 and has grown to nearly 2,000 lodges across the United States. Guided by the principles of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity, the Elks are dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities.
For more than 130 years, Denison Elks Lodge #238 has carried on this proud tradition in North Texas — serving veterans, supporting youth, and lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed most.
Supporting Children: We proudly contribute to the Texas Elks Sweetheart Program and the Texas Elks Camp, a free summer camp for children with special needs or in foster care. These programs create lasting memories and help kids build confidence and friendships in a safe, supportive environment.
Honoring Veterans: Our lodge is deeply committed to serving those who served us. Members volunteer and donate through the Bonham VA Medical Center, our in-house Veterans Pantry, and community projects that honor and assist veterans and their families.
Building Community: From youth scholarships and holiday food drives to local fundraisers and family events, we take pride in giving back to Denison and the Lake Texoma area. Our members dedicate time, talent, and resources to make a positive impact year-round.
