On May 30th, our Lodge barbequed for the St. James Veteran’s Home, where we cooked and served brats, pork steaks, and hot dogs to seventy veterans. During our visit a special gift, a Marine flight jacket, was presented to veteran Joe Cawley from the Ellisville Elks Trustee, Mike St Onge. In addition, we handed out "goodie bags" to all the Veterans, with socks, t-shirts, books and magazines. All of this was made possible with the help of our Gratitude Grant and donations from our membership.
