Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 was recently presented a city proclamation in recognition of the Elks 2021 National Youth Week. The Proclamation, supported and signed by our Mayor Pauline M. Repp, recognizing Lodge 343 continued involvement with our local Youth and Junior Citizens of the City of Port Huron. Our Lodge and its Membership participate and support many local Youth Activities events throughout the year, such as our Youth Antlers Program, , Junior Golf Camp, Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch, Children and Special Needs Christmas, just to name a few. We have also produced and posted many banners around our community recognizing the importance of youth involvement and participation at our Lodge while supporting this annual community recognition! Proving once again Elks Care – Elks Share!

Thank you to Timothy J. Meikle, our Lodge Esquire for taking on another project while maintaining our Lodge needs. Tim is our Maintenance Committee Chair. Tim handles the Grand Lodge required monthly inspection reports, with the help of many volunteers, while fixing and repairing items which need attention to. Besides these responsibilities, Tim also takes on a few separate projects. If you noticed at our front main entrance, Tim completely repaired the wooden bench honoring the memory of Marion Evans which was donated by John & Shelia Mueller back in 2001. Marion was our very first female Elk member joining out membership back 1996. Nicely done Tim! Thank you for your efforts proving once again ELKS CARE – ELKS SHARE.
