The purpose of the Past Exalted Ruler Association (PER) of Port Huron Elks Lodge #343 consists of all prior Exalted Rulers and are there to support Lodge Exalted Ruler, Officers, Lodge Administrative staff and Food & Beverage staff. The PER’s also assist in incoming Officer training, Lodge maintenance needs, social activities, many lodge programs and events. The PER Association members volunteer their services for many functions in support of veterans and those in need. The PER’s provide Holiday food baskets, support children events, provide local High School senior scholarships, support special need children and adults. They also hold summer and winter “Cook-Out’s”, King of the Hill pool tournament, Super Bowl parties, and many other fund raiser and family events while assisting in festive activities in our Lodge Social Quarters. The Past Exalted Rulers Association meet 10 months a year (less July & August) and usually on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm. The elections for the PER officers are held at the March meeting to coincide with the Lodge 343 Officer selection, as the PER’s begin their new terms on April 1st along with the incoming Exalted Ruler and fellow Lodge Officers.
