On the weekend of March 7th 8th and 9th Bob Murphy PVP from Bergenfield Elks Lodge #1477 attended the Elks regional Soccer Shoot held in Hagerstown Maryland. Bob attended with a contingent of NJ Elks that included his wife Michele and their two children Hanna and Bobby.
The Regional Soccer Shoot is held every year. Boys and Girls from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland/Delaware/District of Columbia, West Virginia and Kentucky. Each state brings the winners of their State Soccer Shoots to compete against the other four states in the Regional Competition.
The Elks in each state sponsor all of their own athletes. There is no cost to any child or their family.
Each athlete started out at the local Lodge Soccer Shoot and advanced up by winning District and State Competition.
