2007-2008 Lodge Officers Installed
The 2007-2008 Lodge Officers for Ishpeming Lodge #447 were installed on March 31st. Past Grand Leading Knight, Cal Bjorne, presided over the ceremony and was assisted by six other PER's from the Lodge. This occasion also marked the installation of Ishpeming's first female Exalted Ruler, Sharon Kivikko. Sharon became the 111th E.R. for the Lodge, following in the footsteps of her husband, Matt Kivikko, who is a 2x PER of the Lodge and the current Michigan N.E. District DDGER. Other Officers installed were;
Terry Lawer-Loyal Knight, Ed Niemi-Esquire, Al Anttila-Chaplain, Pat Rice-Secretary, Dan Murphy-Inner Guard and George Emmanualson-Tiler. Kathy Stratton will installed at a later date as Treasurer as she was not able to attend the ceremony.
Outgoing E.R., Ed Niemi, announced the following awards;
Elk of the Year - Melissa Murphy
Officer of the Year - Al Anttila
Citizen of the Year - Dan Murphy
