The MA State Elks Association has awarded their prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award to Tom Shepherd. The award is well deserved and Tom is to be congratulated.
They also awarded Tom Garrity their Volunteer Service Award. Tom is also to be congratulated.
These two outstanding Elks have worked hand in hand over the years, both in and out of Elkdom. Tom Shepherd is stepping down as Chairman of the Veteran's Service Committee and Tom Garrity will be taking over. Something tells me they are merely swapping hats and they will both be just as active.
Through the effort of these two gentlemen, and the rest of their committee, the Lodge has been awarded the honored 1st place award for the Veteran's Remembrance Report, which has been hung in the Hall of Honors.
