Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 held our 42nd consecutive Blood drive on September 26th, while collecting 29 total units. Over the past 9-years beginning in 2013, our Elks Lodge 343 has helped the American Red Cross collect over 175 Gallons of Blood.
During our most recent blood drive, (29) donors registered with (2) donors being deferred and (23) whole blood pints collected, this included (3 Power reds = 6 pints) for 29 total units collected, which is 100% of our goal. We also had one first time donor and 8 Type “O” donors who arrived to provide the ”Gift of Life”. With Lodge 343 supporting the American Red Cross, we have collected over 1,404 units (pints) = 175 plus gallons of blood since our 1st blood drive on January 7, 2013. We are now on our way to reaching our next goal of 2,000 pints (250 gallons). Our 43rd Blood Drive has been scheduled for MONDAY, October 17th and to date, we currently have 23 appointments booked!
