Annual Elks Christmas Baskets
On December 17th, 2022, the Carlinville Elks Lodge continued our tradition of delivering Christmas Baskets to families in need. Elks members and guests delivered 138 Christmas Baskets filled with food to families in need in our community. All of this was possible because of donations from local businesses, Elks members, and people in the community. The Carlinville Boy Scout Troop No. 62 and other volunteers packed the boxes with the non-perishable items the night before. The following morning breakfast was provided for the delivery volunteers. Following the breakfast the perishable items were added to the baskets and then loaded into vehicles for delivery.
Anyone who has ever participated in this event will see firsthand the positive effect and the joy that these Christmas Baskets bring to families in our community.
