The Michigan Elks Association State Convention was held from May 19th thru May 22nd

The
Michigan Elks Association State Convention was held from May 19th
thru May 22nd in Sault Saint Marie, MI.  Port Huron Elks Lodge
343 was one of only two Lodge to be awarded the Grand Lodge Gold Star.  To
achieve the level of the Gold Star,
each Lodge has to participate in a variety of Grand Lodge and State Association
activities, programs, Elkdom requirements and assistance goals which each Lodge
is requested to pursue.  Lodge 343 well represented at the
convention as Gregory C. Hudy, PER, DVC was installed as Metro District 4200
Vice President and Scott R. Harris PER was installed as Metro District 4200
Vice Chairman.  Greg Shannon, PER was appointed Metro District 4200
Chaplain by District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Chuck Pankey-Fanning, PER
Ferndale Elks 1588.  Also appointed by outgoing State President James
Rowland, PER, PSP as the State Publications Chair was Jean Chapdelaine also of
Port Huron Lodge 343.  Exalted Ruler Gerald W. Goodwin, PER also attend
the convention in support of Lodge 343.  We wish these individuals well,
in their newly installed or appointed Metro District positions for the 2022-2023
year.
