Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 held our 40th consecutive Blood drive on July 18th. We had (36) donors registered with (7) donors were deferred and (22) whole blood pints collected (5 Power reds = 10 pints) for 32 total units which were collected which is 110% of our goal. We also had 19 Type “O” donors who arrived to provide the ”Gift of Life”. To encourage donors to do something amazing this summer and give blood, we’re thanking all those who present to give in August with a $10.00 e-gift card to a merchant of choice. Elks Lodge 343 supporting the American Red Cross, we have collected over 1,336
units (pints) = 167 plus gallons of blood since our 1st blood
drive on January 7, 2013. We are now on our way to reaching our next goal
of 2,000 pints (250 gallons). Thank you once again to Mary from the
Burchville Lions Club who donated her time at the sign in table and step-down
area. Our 41st Blood Drive has been scheduled for TUESDAY,
August 16th.
