We held our 9th annual Three Rivers Elks #1248 Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday, June 15, 2024
We had 46 bikes and 85 helmets to give away. 137 kids participated in the 2-hour event that was held in our parking lot. We went through approximately 150 hot dogs, bags of chips and bottles of water. New this year was homemade ice cream churned in the parking lot with a John Deere tractor operated by our Elks member, Joe Whitehead.
This free event is made possible by qualifying for the Beacon Grant given out by our Grand Lodge for $4000, and we also received $1316 in donations from our members for bikes, food and equipment rental.
I want to personally thank the 15 volunteers who donated a total of 72 hours to make this event successful! Without you, this event wouldn’t be possible.
If you are interested in helping out next year, let me know! It will be our 10th year and we are already making plans for a bigger and better rodeo!!
