Lodge 343 Pumpkin Patch

The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 held our annual Pumpkin Patch parade for the special needs students, faculty and volunteers at the RESA Woodland Development Center on Friday, October 29th.  Lodge 343 members were allowed to hand out snacks as over 100 students along with the faculty, staff and volunteers paraded by, dressed up in their Halloween costumes.

Thank you to committee chairmen Paul Torres PER and Scott R. Harris PER, Gregory C. Hudy PER, Gerry Goodwin ER, Mike Easton, Pete Cervini, Fran Torres, Carmen Aguinaga and Chris Stevens for helping to make this another successful event. Thank you to Mark Pringle and his staff for taking great care in handling and storing the large painted cardboard stations.  These same “buildings” have been used for this event since the late 1970’s early 1980’s.  Also, thank you to Joseph Barbe PER, Jim Goodrich PER, Dennis White PER, Fred Dill PSP and many, many other elder Lodge members who originally started saving the large appliance shipping boxes and theme painting them for this heartwarming event.

A special thank you to Natalie Adair, Woodland Principal and her staff for being so welcoming and allowing us into the center.
