Port Huron Lodge 343 Awarded 2021-2022 Freedom Grant

Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 was recently awarded, the 2021-2022 Freedom Grant in the amount of $2,500.00.  This Grant application was made possible through our Lodge membership and Committee donations made to the Elks National Foundation.  These funds will be utilized to provide our local Department of Veterans Affairs with Winter apparel and other cold weather gear for homeless Veterans and Veterans in need.  These provisions will help our local homeless Veterans stay safe, warm and healthy during the frigid Michigan Winter months.  Thank you to Maureen O’Boyle ENF Committee Chair, and ENF Committee members, Marty Prevost, Steve Tebay, ER Gerry Goodwin and PER Scott R. Harris in gathering the required information and submitting the application while applying for this Freedom grant.  This ENF Committee has also applied for, the Gratitude Grant with hopes of assisting the Mid-City Nutrition Program who currently serves St. Clair County, MI. while focusing on the war against hunger in our local county.
