Public Invited to the Elks Flag Day Ceremony

YANKTON, SD – June 9, 2025 – The Yankton Elks Lodge #994 is proud to announce it will host a special Flag Day Ceremony on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will take place at the Elks Lodge, located at 504 W. 27th St., Yankton, SD.

This event is free and open to the public, offering a meaningful opportunity for community members to honor the American flag and learn about its rich history. The program will feature a presentation on "The History of Our Flag," tracing its evolution and significance from its inception to the present day.

"Flag Day is a time for us to reflect on the values and freedoms that our flag represents," said Evelyn Sime, Secretary of Lodge #994, Yankton, SD. "We invite everyone in the Yankton community to join us for this educational and patriotic ceremony as we pay tribute to this important national symbol."
