Are you a Central Jersey Marine or FMF Navy Corpsman looking to find that same Esprit de Corps that doesn't exist anywhere else except when you are with other Marines? Originally chartered on 20 SEP 1974, the Avenel Detachment #189 changed it's name in 2012 to honor a local Marine who was KIA while serving in Afghanistan. The Reinhard Detachment is one of the fastest growing detachments in the state. Our Area of Operation (AO) includes Woodbridge Township, the Boro of Carteret, and the cities of Rahway and Perth Amboy. We are currently looking for a few good members. If you are one of the Few and Proud who is seeking to serve his community while espousing the values of the United States Marine Corps, maybe YOU can be one of US. To be a Regular member you must have served honorably for at least 90 days. Your current status may be active, reserve, retired, or former active duty Marine or FMF Navy Corpsman. If you do not meet this criteria but would still like to be a member you can join as an Associate member.
