In partnership with the local VFW, students at the North Mac Elementary School worked to raise $780 for veterans and military personnel. First and second grade students also created special cards for our troops. In a ceremony held at the school on September 30th, Carlinville Elks member and military support volunteer, Melody Jarmeny spoke to the students about the Elks Veteran's program and was presented with the cards and a check for funds to be used toward the purchase of supplies to send to our active-duty military members serving overseas and to veterans living in veterans’ homes.
