The Elks Shooting for Charity

APPRECIATION TO THE ELKS
At Tuesday night lodge meeting on 11/16, Sgt. Nathan Glennie, US Army (son of Don and Cindy Glennie and son in law of Ron and Cheryl Elenbaas) presented the lodge with a plaque including a US flag that had flown over missions in Afghanistan. Nathan along with his wife, Danielle, sons Hayden and Dakoda, and daughter, Alexis, presented this flag to PER Rich Versendaal and ER Shelly Post to show his appreciation to the Elks Shooting Team.

The "Shooters" provided Nate with a laptop computer he used while serving his year of duty in Afghanistan. Nathan was able to stay in touch daily with his family during his year of absence and was even able to view the live birth of his daughter via Skype on April 1. What a great gift! There was not many a dry eye in the house during this emotional presentation by Nate and his family.

Nathan would also like to take this time to especially thank Gloria De Jonge for her many goodie packages she sent to Nate while he was deployed. They were very much appreciated by Nathan as well as the rest of the unit.
