Veterans enjoying a meal at the Holland Elks

On November 13 the Holland Elks Lodge served about 150 Veterans and their guests to a free meal prepared with the wonderful help of Barb & Rich Versendaal and Bob & Judy Goding - without the help of these wonderful people I would not have been able to put the dinner on. We also had assistance from the Grand Haven Lodge, with the help of Sheryl Wescott, Ann Curow and David Bancoff, plus our officers and the Scout Troop. Everyone had a wonderful time and were very, very thankful for such a wonderful meal. Mitch Menken came with his grandfather Jerry Menken and Carl Van Dam and wife Jackie were also in attendance.

Carl will be returning to Afghanistan in July 2011.
