HELP Grand

In 2021, the Alaska State Elks Association (ASEA) reimagined its approach to community support by refocusing its State Major Project to better reflect its mission of building strong, resilient communities throughout Alaska. Instead of concentrating on a singular initiative, ASEA introduced the HELP grant program, providing every lodge across the state with the opportunity to propose local projects that meet specific eligibility criteria. This change ensures that resources are distributed to where they are needed most, empowering lodges to address the unique needs of their communities. Whether the projects focus on youth programs, local infrastructure, or social services, ASEA's commitment to strengthening localities through tailored, grassroots initiatives has the potential to make a lasting impact on Alaskans.

By offering HELP grants to all qualifying lodges, ASEA promotes a sense of ownership and collaboration within each community. These grants enable local leaders to develop creative solutions that address their specific challenges while also promoting statewide unity in the Elks' mission to give back. ASEA’s shift reflects a deep understanding of the diverse needs across Alaska and ensures that its efforts are far-reaching and inclusive. This renewed direction promises to continue making a positive difference in lives across the state, as each lodge becomes a catalyst for meaningful, localized change.
