The Michigan Elks Association’s State Major Project was established in May of 1957 in order to provide financial support to children with disabilities for expenses related to equipment, therapy, camps, technology, and any other health related necessity.
BAY CITY (WJRT) - (03/26/14) - They are pilots who use their talents and time to help patients get medical care that would otherwise be out of their reach. Tuesday, the Bay City Elks gave the Wings of Mercy a donation that will make four more medical missions possible. The organization flies patients at no cost to medical centers for specialized treatment. The Elks raised the money as part of their Christmas Charity and picked Wings of Mercy as their local cause. The wings of mercy missions cost about $500 each. The elks donated about $2,300 to the cause.
