Our Lodge is located high in the San Bernardino National Forest, at an elevation of 7,000 feet in one of Southern California's favorite four-season destinations for recreation and relaxation. We are at the entrance of the Big Bear Lake Village which is the heart of Big Bear Lake with the many restaurants, shops and marinas. We offer 4 RV spaces with 30amp power and water and dry camping is permitted. Additional lodging facilities are within walking distance from our Lodge. We have awesome bartenders, the friendliest Club Room and a great volunteer staff. Whether you need a break from the heat or just a mountain getaway - come visit us! Our Lodge meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7pm. We serve dinner at 5:30pm before the meeting. The Big Bear Elks Lodge maintains office hours on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am to 12:00 pm. There is generally someone in the office during these hours unless a holiday falls on one of these days. A very friendly atmosphere...it's the altitude that makes the difference! We have a full cocktail bar, comfortable chairs and tables, barstools. Enjoy a game of pool in our Jolly Corks' Billiard Room. Three steel tip dartboards are available. We also have an indoor shuffleboard. There are 5 flat screen TVs for sports pleasure. And did we mention that we have the best bartenders on the mountain? The Club Room opens to our Patio where you can enjoy outdoor dining, corn hole, and Laverne's Rose Garden. Our North Bar, available for your parties and special events, has an outdoor deck with a million dollar lake. If you're lucky - you may catch a glimpse of Jackie or Shadow soaring over the lake! This is a really special area of the Lodge! We are open Wednesday & Thursday 2 pm to close (usually 7-8 pm.); Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm; Saturday from 12 pm to close' Sunday from 12 to 7pm.
Our very sizeable Lodge Room looks out to the lake and mountains to the north, and our Patio and Rose Garden to the south. Our banquet facilities can accommodate up to 250 guests for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, fashion shows, birthdays, quinceañeras, bridal showers, weddings and receptions, school and family reunions, club meetings, retirement parties, special events, and just about any other celebration or gathering you can think of. The CookShak is available for catering your events and the North Bar available for rent (no outside alcohol is permitted). From the Lodge Room you have access to our adjoining outdoor patio & BBQ area. The room can be decorated to your theme. Our staff and volunteers will listen to your every wish and ensure it is accommodated for your event.
Our Lodge hosts the BEST BINGO night in the Bear Valley every Friday night...almost without exception. We start at 6pm in the Lodge Room. You may order dinner from the kitchen 4:00 - 7:00pm. The menu includes BBQ, burgers, fish and chips, and various sides. Bingo also offers snacks and drinks for sale throughout the evening and ice cream is available for sale at the break. This is a fun night!!!
